Many conditions involve inflammation, malnutrition, toxin exposures, sleep disturbances, and stress cycles that propagate pain, inflammation, fatigue, brain fog and bad moods. It takes years for a problem develop, and you'll likely notice changes quickly, but bear in mind that this process involves lifestyle choices and takes time depending on each individual. You will be educated along the way. If you know something is "off" and you want a guide to help you figure out how to feel better, then you have found the right place to be. Welcome!
Chiropractic
Just as there are different specialties in medicine, Chiropractors vary too. Some focus on adjusting, others do exclusively soft tissue techniques, upper cervical techniques, pediatrics, pregnant women, athletes, etc. Dr. Boyle's style of Chiropractic is a combination. She uses many soft-tissue techniques, adjusting when needed, will likely give you exercise homework to correct imbalances, and incorporate posture retraining. Appointments generally last 20-30 minutes and instrumentation may be used including vibration, PEMF, percussion, drop table, cupping, gua sha, and/or laser, along with myofascial release techniques and adjusting. Note that if you have a problem that doesn't trend toward resolving, then consider booking a Functional Medicine appointment to evaluate factors that block you from healing or feeling good.
Laser, Therapies, Modalities
Along with Chiropractic, there are many modalities used to promote healing, healthy joints, strength through a range of motion, and reduction of pain. A series of Class IV laser sessions can do wonders to help you improve joint health. When used professionally, it is a safe modality to try with a great success rate, prior to considering surgery or treatments that may have repercussions down the road. With a plethora of scientific research to support it, and low risk, everyone should try these therapies who is in pain, losing range of joint motion, considering surgery, or considering joint replacement. Note that a chiropractic exam is required prior to treatment to ensure you are a candidate and that treatments are safe for you.
